2 Goat Street Holiday Home, St Davids, Wales, United Kingdom

2 Goat Street Holiday Home sleeps 4/6 people in 2 bedrooms plus sofa bed and is a spacious and traditional Welsh stone House in the centre of the historic cathedral city of St Davids, Wales.

2 Goat Street Holiday Home overlooks the beautiful mediaeval cathedral of St Davids and has wonderful views to the rugged coastline beyond. The sunsets are fabulous; it's just a few steps from great pubs and restaurants and a couple of miles from the wonderful Whitesands Beach.

It currently has 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a double sofa bed in the large upstairs sitting room. For 2010 we have plans to open up the attic and there will then be room for at least a couple more. Watch this space....

Children (and their parents) are very welcome and it's a great House for kids (we've got two of them). No smoking, no pets. Sunday changeover.

Accommodation:
The House is arranged over two floors with a twin bedroom, shower and loo downstairs; a double bedroom with bathroom, shower and loo upstairs; and a large double sofa bed in the sitting room. A travel cot is available but please provide your own cot bedding.

Ground floor: front door opens on to hall with shower and loo to the right and twin bedroom with large chest of drawers.

Hall continues to large open plan kitchen and dining room. Well-equipped kitchen (the owner's a chef) includes:

- mains dual fuel cooker with 5-burner gas hob including large central wok burner, one large and one small electric oven with pan store below
- big larder fridge
- dishwasher
- washing machine
- freezer
- microwave
- plentiful work surface,
including butcher's block and lots of cupboard space
- white porcelain double butler's sink in traditional Welsh slate surround

Kitchen includes small round table for extra work space or feeding small messy children! (and a highchair) Open plan with the kitchen: large dining / living area with large dining table seating six easily and eight without too much difficulty. CD/tape player.

Staircase leads up out of dining area to:
Upstairs very spacious double sitting room, the first part with big picture windows overlooking the cathedral and hilly coastline beyond, and the snug second part with TV and DVD player.

Large double sofa bed in rear part of the sitting room provides sleeping accommodation for two people if needed; please let us know when booking if you need bedding for the sofa bed.

Leading off the sitting room are a double bedroom with wardrobe and chest of drawers and a bathroom with antique roll-top bath, old fashioned loo with high level cistern, and completely modern shower and shaver point. An ultra-large upright heated towel rail which operates either off the central heating or its own power supply, plus radiator under the window, ensures cosiness whatever the time of year.

Large supply of books, games etc, but please bring your own DVDs / CDs.

Please note that this is a House in a conservation area. It is suitable for some people with limited mobility, as it has a downstairs bedroom and shower/loo, but there is a small step up to all outer doors and the downstairs shower room is too small to accommodate a wheelchair. If you have particular access requirements, please do ring to discuss them with us before booking.

External Amenities:
Side stable-style door to passage running along the side of the House, and rear sliding double-glazed glass doors giving plenty of light and leading out onto a small pebbled patio area; just enough room to sit outdoors and hang out wetsuits etc.If we want a bigger area to play in, we run down the hill to the Bishop's Palace, which is probably the best place for hide and seek in the whole universe.

Services: Price includes all heating, electricity, gas, bedlinen, tea towels and bath towels. Please bring your own Beach towels. A hairdryer is provided for your use.

Telephones: use of the telephone is restricted to local and emergency calls. Mobile reception is highly variable within St Davids except for Orange which generally has good reception in the town and around the cathedral.
Parking: there is parking available nearby, but not right outside the House.
