The World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has launched an online photo competition to coincide with the World Tourism Day on September 27.
The World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has launched an online photo competition to coincide with the World Tourism Day on September 27.
The competition is open to all ages, under the theme "Tourism and Biodiversity".
Participants should be able to capture the relationship between the two through their cameras. The photos should reflect the value of biodiversity for tourism and/or the contribution of tourism in protecting and sustainably managing biodiversity.
The contest winner will receive as first prize a round trip, including accommodation, to Guangdong Province, China, where the World Tourism Day will be celebrated this year. Four runners-up will each be awarded a digital camera.
The deadline for entering the contest is August 31, and the winner will be announced and notified in early September.
