We found our Seychelles in Portugal!!
Lisa Laporte from Chalets d' Anse Forbans: During the month of July 2010 we decided to go off to Portugal and visit Lisbon for a family holiday. As usual we have researched all the things to do and most importantly how to keep our 3 year old entertained. So one of the many attractions to visit while in Portugal is the Lisbon Oceanaruim. Great place to visit and some wonderful displays but you would never guess what we found when we entered the Indian ocean display- yes Seychelles in Portugal!!!
I was so excited taking pictures while my poor husband and son stood waiting to have their picture taken.
Of course I thought the Indian Ocean exhibit was by far the most interesting and must stunning. I am still wondering exactly how much of the display is from Seychelles and hoping not all!!
The exhibit tried to educate the public on the impacts of the global warming and in particular the impact on the rain forests and the coral. The whole exhibit was based on the flora and fauna from Seychelles.
